Variations in Chiropractic care

When going to a Chiropractor and attending a Chiropractic appointment, it can be different experience each time depending on the Chiropractor and the style of the practice.

We are very fortunate in Chandlers Ford and Eastleigh to have some excellent local Chiropractors providing ethical patient centred care helping their clients move well stay well and be well.

However each of us will work differently in our analysis and treatment, all with the same goal to give yourself the patient, the best experience possible.

If you are to take myself, I love muscle testing, this outcome measure can allow me to clinically see the improvement of my clients, A lot of my clients love this approach as it is functional and they can feel a clear positive change pre and post treatment showing that we have made a positive impact on their body during the appointment.

Other Chiropractors prefer to use scans/readings to assess patient improvement, this can include patient X-Rays or other readings to see the improvement of posture and spinal alignment. This can be a great outcome measure for clients really interested in understanding more about the structural side of their body.

Finally you will get some Chiropractors who love to use exercises as an outcome measure. This would involve checking a client on a particular exercise before the treatment and then re-checking the same exercise after to assess for an improvement in pain, mobility balance etc. This is great for any patients who love the gym environment and are focused on bettering their health and fitness. This is something that I am excited to bring to Chandlers Ford at JS Chiropractic in the near future and offer this service to my clients.

These are just 3 of a multitude of analysis techniques different Chiropractors use. Regardless, what is most important is that you feel comfortable and feel the benefit from the approach of your Chiropractor.
