Should I rely on my Chiropractor to be Pain-Free?

At JS Chiropractic Chandlers Ford, we love seeing our Patients and am big in the promotion of “MOT style care being seen every four, six or eight week intervals to keep your body functioning at its best as you continue to deal with the physical stresses and strains of modern life.

However, should our clients become heavily reliant on us for their body, constantly messaging us with a pain or niggle they need sorted ASAP.

I personally believe that we shouldn’t be heavily reliant on our Chiropractor, it is important to take an active approach in your day to day health and wellbeing, incorporating a positive approach to areas such as sleep, diet and exercise which will affect your body’s ability to cope with stresses and pains.

For example, an individual who gets adequate sleep of eight hours, exercises four-five times a week, and has a balanced diet is likely to be far less reliant on their Chiropractor than someone who barely exercises, constantly overstrains their body physically with little sleep and lives out of Chandlers Ford Tesco and the ready meal section.

I know which one is far more likely to call me each month in agony saying their back is gone and “they need fixing”,

You might think, Joel surely you want these clients as they are always coming in and an awesome source of revenue for the business as they are always screwed up. Whilst this is true, I want to create a local community who have strong and resilient bodies and ones who when they come to our office just need “ a tweak” rather than a full scale throw to kitchen sink to get rid of the pain approach.

I hope that makes sense and educates you a little more on why its amazing to see a Chiropractor regularly, but don’t be reliant on them constantly and how by taking a couple of steps in your personal healthcare can go a long way in stopping that monthly phone call screaming “I need Joel to fix me”!
