How often should I be adjusted?

How often should I be adjusted?

This is a question I get a lot of in the office, our Chandlers Ford clients are now pain-free, gone through the road to recovery and are interested in undergoing maintenance care incorporating “MOT” sessions in to their daily routine to help prevent injury and give their body the best opportunity to work at its best.

The answer to the question is dependant on how much stress and strain we put on our body paired with how resilient our body is to these stresses.

For example if we are a desk worker who frequents in intense exercise five-six times a week then its likely they will need their body adjusted more than an retiree who does two light exercise sessions a week.

This is because there is more physical stresses both from excess sitting and intense exercise that will cause more tension on the body so the Chiropractic “MOT” sessions will likely be spaced closer together so the body can deal with these stresses appropriately.

You will notice during your care plan the right duration in-between appointments that benefits you and your spine. As I mentioned everyone is different but you will understand your body better and feel when it is beginning to “creep” back to old ways and more tension. It is then you know your in need of an adjustment.

Most of our JS Chiropractic Chandlers Ford and Eastleigh clients who adopt “MOT” appointments are usually on  four, six or eight week intervals between their appointments. This has been a carefully calculated with discussion between themselves and the Chiropractor on what is right for them and their body.

I hope this answers any questions concerning how often you need to be adjusted. My concluding advice would be to listen to your body and devise a regular appointment with your Chiropractor to help maintain and augment your personal health and spinal wellbeing.
