Going to a Chiropractor when Pain-Free?

“I’m now pain free, do I need to keep seeing you”?

This is a question a lot of my Chandlers Ford and Eastleigh clients ask me during their treatments.

We have successfully completed the initial “painful phase” of care and are usually at phase 2, The corrective phase.

My response to this question is usually something like….

Its amazing that your feeling pain-free however, there is still a long way to go, we have managed to get your body’s fuel tank to just above the red light on the gas tank, which is amazing. However if we don’t continue the positive work there is a high risk the underlying problem will return causing you to drop back to the original pain you had.

By continuing to work together we all your body to continue to re-adapt and rebuild increasing the “fuel in the gas tank” meaning you will be far less likely to encounter those painful episodes again.

I must stress that this is a choice whether patients continue in their care plan. Some people might drop out of care but most will remain in to the corrective phase and then in to the maintenance phase to ensure that their body and spine continues to work for them allowing them to be at their best.
