Phase 3: The Wellness/Maintenance Phase
Leading on from the previous 2 phases discussed, you have reduced your pain levels, improved your mobility, began to let your body heal and repair from the underlying problem and feel as good if not better than you ever have.
Why not keep it that way?
The wellness phase isn’t really a phase but a lifestyle choice. Much like taking care of your teeth by seeing a dentist or your body by exercising and eating well, many patients choose to continue to have regular chiropractic care to help keep their spine and nervous system working at its best.
We all encounter daily stresses and strains that will have and impact on our spine and body. The purpose behind a 4 6 or 8 weekly chiropractic check up is to address these issues and remove the stresses strains and tension before they become problematic affecting ones quality of life.
A maintenance appointment is ensuring the patient can continue to do what they want to do love to do and have to do to the best of their ability.
The perfect maintenance patient is one that walks in to the office was no pain and no problems, as this tells us the body is working well, however as Chiropractors we will likely find areas of tightness and restriction that can be worked on helping our patients be even better.
Most patients who undergo regular Chiropractic care report having
Less pain
More mobility
Improved sleep
Quicker recovery from injury
Fewer injuries
Increased confidence.
Can perform tasks they never thought they would do again.
Hope that this provides and insight into the purpose behind regular chiropractic appointments and will encourage you to get your body checked and adjusted whether painful or non-painful.
