Do I continue to train through an injury?

A lot of the JS Chiropractic community love their health and wellbeing, outdoors in the gym exercising and keeping fit. Sometimes we can overdo it through exercise and cause back pain, neck pain or other pains that affect our ability to continue to exercise fully.

A lot of my clients are always itching to get back in to the gym and exercise so I hear the question “can I exercise through my injury?”.

Here at JS Chiropractic, we always try to keep our community active and mobile as much as physically possible. From looking and examining the injury we will be able to tell you which exercises are safe to perform and other exercises that it would be smart to avoid in the short term allowing the body time to rest and recover.

In regards to the injury itself, we will educate you on specific rehabilitation exercises and stretches that you can do to help make your recovery as efficient and easy as possible, making sure that the injury is less likely to reoccur again whilst you continue to train other body areas unrelated to the pain/problem.

So to answer the question, yes it is ok to continue to train whilst being injured but I always advise speak to a medical professional like myself so you are fully aware of wat exercises to avoid and to have a rehab plan designed to ensure a full pain free recovery.
